Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone who combines deep scientific knowledge with entrepreneurial curiosity.
We are particularly interested in someone who:
- Has a PhD-level understanding of immunology.
- Can independently develop scientifically rigorous experiments.
- Is comfortable working in an early-stage biotechnology environment.
- Can critically evaluate scientific data rather than simply execute protocols.
- Has strong scientific writing and communication abilities.
- Can translate fundamental immunology into potential therapeutic applications.
- Is interested in autoimmune disease and/or therapeutic development.
- Can collaborate across multiple scientific disciplines.
- Is comfortable operating with significant autonomy.
- Has an entrepreneurial mindset and interest in helping build a biotechnology company.
Prior postdoctoral, industry, or translational research experience is highly valuable.

Depending on experience and contribution, responsibilities may expand to include:
- Leading immunology research initiatives.
- Advising company leadership on immunological strategy.
- Developing research collaborations.
- Helping establish external academic and industry relationships.
- Supervising future research personnel.
- Contributing to grant and funding strategies.

Compensation & Potential Equity Participation
There is currently:
- No guaranteed salary
- No guaranteed hourly wage
- No guaranteed stipend
- No guaranteed benefits
- No guaranteed financial compensation
The position is structured initially as a voluntary scientific research opportunity.
However, because this is an entrepreneurial biotechnology venture, equity-based financial packages may be considered for exceptional candidates based on qualifications, level of responsibility, scientific contribution, and company success.
Potential equity or other financial arrangements could be considered as the company reaches meaningful milestones, develops commercial partnerships, generates revenue, raises capital, licenses intellectual property, or otherwise increases in enterprise value.
Equity is not guaranteed.
Any equity participation or other financial arrangement would require a separate written agreement establishing the applicable terms.
Candidates should therefore view this opportunity as an opportunity to contribute to the development of a biotechnology company with potential long-term upside, rather than as a conventional salaried position.
Long-Term Opportunity
The company is seeking individuals who are interested in building something over the long term.
Biotechnology research can require years of development before meaningful scientific or commercial milestones are reached. Candidates should therefore be comfortable with the possibility that research programs may develop over an extended period.
Outstanding contributors may be considered for expanded scientific responsibilities, formal employment, consulting arrangements, equity participation, or other opportunities as the company develops.
Future opportunities are not guaranteed.
Work Environment
This is an early-stage biotechnology environment where individuals are expected to take ownership of their work.
The position may involve:
- Scientific literature review
- Experimental design
- Data analysis
- Research strategy
