Clinical Immunology Consultants - NHS Insourcing Opportunities

MedicsPro would like to hear from GMC-registered Consultants in Clinical Immunology interested in supporting NHS insourcing projects focused on referral management, pathway validation, waiting list reduction, and service improvement programmes.

This is a project-based opportunity aimed at reducing referral backlogs and improving patient pathways. While onsite delivery is the preferred model, there may be scope for offsite or remote delivery, subject to final agreement and project requirements.

Project Scope

The successful consultant will be responsible for undertaking the clinical review and vetting of outstanding Clinical Immunology referrals, ensuring patients are managed appropriately and in line with agreed clinical pathways.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing referrals against established clinical criteria and pathways
• Identifying cases suitable for:
• Advice & Guidance
• Discharge
• Redirection to an alternative service
• Further investigations
• Outpatient assessment
• Recording clinical outcomes and recommendations in accordance with Health Board requirements

Requirements

• GMC Registration with a licence to practise
• Specialist Registration in Clinical Immunology
• Experience assessing referrals and making pathway-based clinical decisions

Contract Details

• Project-based assignment
• Onsite delivery preferred
• Potential for offsite/remote delivery, subject to final agreement and project requirements
• Expected to fall outside IR35, subject to final contract award and standard checks
• Flexible engagement model
