Implementation Engineer – CMMS / EAM (Plant Maintenance)

Experience: 3–6 years

Work mode: On-site at industrial client locations; willingness to travel and stay at project sites is essential.

About the role

Arix is hiring an Implementation Engineer to deploy our maintenance management platform at industrial sites. You will work with maintenance, operations, planning and stores teams to configure workflows, prepare data, train users and support go-live.

This role suits a maintenance planner, SAP PM key user or CMMS/EAM implementation professional who enjoys working directly with plant teams.

Key responsibilities

• Understand plant maintenance processes and translate requirements into application configurations.
• Collect, clean and validate equipment, functional location, material, BOM and user master data.
• Configure preventive maintenance schedules, inspection checklists, work orders, approvals and user permissions.
• Support shutdown plan imports, readiness tracking, execution updates and closure.
• Validate material availability, reservation, issue and return workflows with plant teams.
• Conduct user acceptance testing, document issues and coordinate fixes with the product team.
• Train technicians, supervisors, planners and stores users on web and mobile applications.
• Provide go-live support, resolve functional queries and drive regular system usage.
• Maintain implementation trackers, training records, issue logs and handover documentation.

Must-have qualifications

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or a related discipline.
• Practical understanding of preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, inspections and work-order processes.
• Hands-on involvement in at least one CMMS, EAM, SAP PM or comparable maintenance-software rollout.
• Strong Excel skills for data cleaning, lookups, reconciliation and import preparation.
• Familiarity with equipment hierarchies, functional locations, BOMs and maintenance spares.
• Understanding of SAP PM/MM processes, including maintenance orders and material transactions.
• Ability to independently coordinate with plant stakeholders and conduct user training.
• Clear communication in Hindi and English.
• Willingness to follow plant safety requirements and provide planned shift support during shutdowns.

Preferred experience

• Cement, steel, power, chemicals or other process industries.
• Maintenance planning, shutdown coordination or SAP PM key-user responsibilities.
• MS Project, mobile maintenance applications or basic SQL/reporting.
