Implementation System Engineer (Intermediate)

Summary

The Intermediate Implementation System Engineer is responsible for implementing, configuring, migrating, upgrading, and supporting Microsoft-based IT infrastructure and virtualization solutions for customers. This role focuses on hands-on implementation and migration activities, including Microsoft 365, Exchange Online email migration, SharePoint Online and file migration, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Server, VMware, and Microsoft Hyper-V.

The engineer will perform system configuration, migration, OS upgrades, virtualization implementation, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and handover to operation teams, while working closely with senior engineers, project managers, technical teams, and customers to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, migrate, and support Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Perform email and file migration to Microsoft 365.
• Implement and support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Install, configure, migrate, and upgrade Windows Server.
• Implement and support VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization environments.
• Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and verification during implementation and migration.
• Prepare implementation plans, migration procedures, configuration documents, test plans, and rollback procedures.
• Coordinate with customers and technical teams during project implementation and migration.
• Support system handover and maintain technical documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in System Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Implementation Engineering, or a related IT infrastructure role.
• Must have past or current hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 email and file migration.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Experience with Windows Server installation, configuration, migration, and OS upgrades.
• Experience with VMware and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
• Customer-oriented and service-minded.
• Ability to manage multiple assigned tasks and meet project schedules.
• Willingness to perform implementation, migration, or cutover activities outside normal business hours when required.
• Willingness to continuously learn and develop technical skills.
• Professional certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, GCP, AWS, Azure, ISMS, SMS, CSA-STAR or related would be advantageous.
• Can communicate in English (Intermediate level).
