Import & Export Executive

Key Responsibilities

• Customs Clearance & CHA Management: Act as the primary point of contact for CHAs. Provide accurate shipping documents for prompt Bill of Entry (BoE) filing, resolve customs queries, oversee physical inspections, and track cargo clearance at ports/ICDs.
• IDPMS & EDPMS Compliance: Routinely monitor the RBI IDPMS portal. Liaise with AD Banks to match outward foreign remittances against ICEGATE-uploaded Bills of Entry to complete timely knock-offs and prevent RBI caution listing. Assist with EDPMS entries for return/export transactions where applicable.
• Import Documentation: Prepare, review, and process complete import documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading (B/L), Airway Bills (AWB), Certificates of Origin, and Letters of Credit (LC / Form A1/A2).
• Freight & Logistics Coordination: Track shipments from origin ports to final arrival. Coordinate with shipping lines, air freight operators, and local transporters to minimize port demurrage and container detention costs.
• Bank & Forex Operations: Coordinate with bank trade finance desks for foreign outward remittances, trade credit approvals, bank guarantees, and obtaining electronic Outward Remittance Certificates (e-ORC).
• Duty & Cost Management: Calculate and verify customs duties, assess applicable HS Codes, and ensure proper utilization of import incentive schemes or trade agreements.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Foreign Trade.

Experience

2–5 years of hands-on experience in import operations, banking trade compliance, and CHA coordination.

Trade Systems

Direct working knowledge of IDPMS, EDPMS, ICEGATE portal, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Tally).

Regulatory Knowledge

Strong understanding of Incoterms (2020), Customs Duty structures, HS Codes, FEMA guidelines, and RBI trade compliance rules.

Key Competencies

Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and clear vendor-facing communication.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
