We are seeking an experienced Import & Export Specialist to manage end-to-end air and sea freight operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced forwarding environment and enjoys owning shipments from booking through to final delivery.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating international air and sea freight movements, ensuring all shipments are executed efficiently, compliantly, and to client expectations. You will work closely with overseas agents, airlines, shipping lines, customs brokers, and local transport providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import and export shipments across air and sea freight
• Coordinate bookings with airlines, shipping lines, and overseas agents
• Prepare and check all shipping documentation
• Liaise with customs brokers to ensure clearance and compliance requirements are met
• Track shipments, provide proactive updates to clients, and manage exceptions or delays
• Ensure compliance with international trade, customs, and MPI regulations
• Maintain accurate records within forwarding and ERP systems
• Build strong relationships with clients, carriers, and global agents

About You

• Proven experience in freight forwarding, specifically air and sea freight operations
• Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and international shipping documentation
• Experience working with airlines, shipping lines, and global agents
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple shipments concurrently
• Confident communicator with a customer-focused approach
• Comfortable working in a time-sensitive, deadline-driven environment
• Proficient with forwarding systems and Microsoft Office
