Import Compliance Manager

The role is responsible for managing the company’s import operations, regulatory compliance, customs clearance, documentation, and supplier coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Secure and maintain all required import permits, licenses, and certifications and ensure compliance with BOC, DENR, FDA, and other regulations.
• Manage and verify import documentation and coordinate with procurement, finance, and other departments.
• Oversee customs clearance, including tariff classification, valuation, documentation issues, customs holds, and penalties.
• Coordinate with international suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and compliant shipments.
• Monitor import activities, identify risks and delays, and prepare compliance reports for management.
• Train employees on import regulations, documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as the primary contact for customs and regulatory concerns.
• Conduct supply research and development, including finding new suppliers and alternative materials.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Customs Administration, Business, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Import Operations, preferably in a managerial role.
• Experience in procurement/purchasing, supply chain, logistics, supplier management, and market research.
• Licensed Customs Broker is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and people-management skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, ethical, reliable, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
