Import Coordinator

About the role

Oceanbridge Shipping is seeking a dedicated Import Coordinator to join our Auckland team. You will contribute to delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring efficient and reliable shipping solutions through our global network of agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with customers, internal teams and cartage companies to arrange cartage for import cargoes
• Process direct shipments and provide support services to the Customs brokers to facilitate delivery to the customer
• Co-ordinate and facilitate the efficient release of import cargoes to Oceanbridge customers, within the customer's time frame expectations
• Ensure documentation and payment procedures are followed according to our processes
• Check payment and documentation processes are correct before releasing cargo
• Ensure all communications with customers and service providers are helpful, courteous and of the highest standard

About you

• Cargowise experience essential
• Sound knowledge of NZ Ports and Transport
• Knowledge of Incoterms and supply chain systems
• 2 years relevant New Zealand freight forwarding experience
• NZ Residency or Citizenship required
