A busy, growing business is looking for an experienced Import Coordinator to take ownership of their inbound freight and keep stock moving where it needs to be.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being in the thick of it. You'll be managing shipments, working closely with suppliers and freight partners, staying on top of timelines, and jumping on issues before they become problems. No two days are quite the same, so you'll need to be someone who can think on your feet and keep multiple moving parts under control.

What you'll be doing:

• Coordinating import shipments from purchase order through to final delivery
• Managing shipping schedules and keeping a close eye on shipment progress
• Preparing, checking and processing import documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Liaising daily with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and transport companies
• Monitoring stock arrivals and providing updates to key stakeholders across the business
• Investigating and resolving shipment delays, discrepancies and supply chain issues
• Working closely with internal teams to ensure products arrive when they're needed
• Maintaining accurate records and keeping systems up to date

What we're looking for
We're open to people coming from import coordination, freight forwarding, shipping, procurement or broader supply chain backgrounds. Most importantly, you'll understand how international freight works and be confident managing shipments from start to finish.

You'll bring:

• Previous experience coordinating imports, international freight or logistics operations
• A sound understanding of import documentation and shipping processes
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to deal with suppliers and logistics partners around the globe
• Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• A proactive approach and the ability to think on your feet when plans change
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on getting things right the first time
• A team-first attitude and willingness to get stuck in where needed
