Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Import Customer Service professional to manage customer accounts, coordinate import shipments, handle documentation, and ensure smooth shipment movement from booking through delivery. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and organizational skills, good knowledge of import procedures, and the ability to coordinate effectively with customers, customs, shipping lines, airlines, consignees, and overseas agents.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers through email and phone and act as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
• Monitor client shipments on a day-to-day basis from booking to delivery.
• Book shipments with carriers and ensure import documents are properly noted with customs to avoid delays and facilitate smooth customs clearance.
• Handle shipment-related issues from origin through overseas operations and resolve them promptly.
• Prepare daily MIS reports as required by clients and management.
• Ensure complete accuracy in all customer service, documentation, and shipment-related activities.
• Coordinate with customs for clearance and with the operations team for related activities.
• Coordinate with shipping lines and airlines regarding IGM manifest and DO details.
• Work closely with consignees and overseas agents to ensure smooth shipment operations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar Customer Service and Documentation role within the Import industry.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Good knowledge of Import procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
