Import Documentation Staff

General Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade, or other relevant fields.
• Experience: 1–2 years of experience in import-export, logistics, freight forwarding, or EMKL (Sea Freight Forwarding) is preferred.
• Fresh Graduates: Fresh graduates or final-year students are welcome to apply for an internship opportunity.
• Language Skills: Good command of English, at least at a passive level, particularly for email correspondence and handling import/export documents.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel and Word. Familiarity with customs systems or Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is an advantage.
• Personal Competencies: Detail-oriented, honest, responsible, and possess good communication skills. Able to work under pressure and meet strict shipping deadlines, including vessel and flight schedules.

Job Responsibilities

• Document Verification: Review the validity, accuracy, and completeness of import documents received from shippers or suppliers, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading (B/L), Certificates of Origin (COO), and Import Declarations (PIB).
• Customs Clearance & Shipment Handling: Coordinate with Customs and Excise authorities, shipping lines, and field operations teams to facilitate customs clearance and the release of goods from the port or Temporary Storage Area (TPS).
• Shipment Monitoring: Track vessel or flight movements to ensure the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) and shipment schedules are properly monitored and updated.
• Administrative Processing: Arrange the issuance of Delivery Orders (DO), process port and freight-related payments when required, and maintain proper and organized records of import and legal documentation.
