Import Executive

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Imports Executive to handle end-to-end Air & Ocean Import Operations, including shipment documentation, CargoWise updates, customer coordination, delivery order processing, billing, vendor coordination, and shipment closure.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up with overseas agents for Pre-Alert documents for Prepaid and FOB shipments.
• Review and approve pre-alert documents and share them with the consignee.
• Track shipments and provide regular arrival/status updates to customers.
• Open dockets/jobs and update shipment details in CargoWise (CW).
• Coordinate with the Brokerage/CHA team for customs clearance shipments.
• File manifests for Air & Ocean import shipments and coordinate with liners/co-loaders.
• Follow up for IGM details through ICEGATE and update customers accordingly.
• Arrange CAN and Delivery Order (DO) upon shipment arrival.
• Coordinate with carriers for DO release and carrier payment follow-up.
• Coordinate with the Sales team for CargoWise quotations and SOPs.
• Generate billing and arrange invoices to customers/agents.
• Coordinate with Transport and other vendors for Air & Ocean shipments.
• Upload vendor bills in CargoWise and follow up for approvals.
• Handle online DO issuance for Air and Ocean shipments.
• Upload all required shipment documents in CargoWise E-Docs.
• Ensure POD and DO acknowledgements are uploaded in CargoWise.
• Visit Airport/ICD when required to resolve shipment or cargo discrepancies.
• Monitor and maintain CargoWise KPIs for Air & Ocean shipments.
• Ensure all assigned activities are completed within the defined timelines.
• Complete job closure after verifying all required tasks and documentation.
• Coordinate with Accounts and resolve billing/payment-related queries.

Requirements

• 25 years of experience in Freight Forwarding / Logistics.
• Strong hands-on experience in Air & Ocean Import Operations.
• Good knowledge of import documentation, shipment tracking, IGM, manifestation, DO and customs clearance coordination.
• CargoWise experience is preferred/required.
• Good communication and customer coordination skills.
• Ability to coordinate with agents, carriers, customers, brokerage, sales, accounts and internal teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks within defined timelines.
