Import Executive

IMPORT EXECUTIVE – IMPORT & BANKING

Location: I.I. Chundrigar Road, Karachi
Industry: Chemical Manufacturing

We are looking for a competent and responsible Import Executive to manage end-to-end import operations along with banking and trade finance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle complete import process from Purchase Order/Indent to clearance and delivery.
• Prepare and manage LCs, Bank Contracts, PADs, Import Documents and related banking instruments.
• Coordinate with banks regarding LC opening, amendments, document retirement, payments and import financing.
• Maintain close follow-up on LC maturities, PADs, bank charges and import-related payments.
• Coordinate with suppliers, banks, clearing agents, freight forwarders and shipping companies.
• Review shipping documents, invoices, BLs, packing lists, certificates and GDs for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor shipments, ETAs, vessel arrivals, customs clearance and delivery to warehouse/factory.
• Maintain proper records of import files, banking documents and shipment status.
• Coordinate with Accounts & Finance for landed cost, payments, reconciliations and financing requirements.
• Prepare daily/weekly import and banking status reports for management.
• Ensure timely completion of import documentation and resolve operational issues.

Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration or a relevant field.

Experience: Relevant experience in Imports, Trade Finance and Bank Dealing will be preferred.

Candidate Profile:

• Strong knowledge of import documentation and banking procedures.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong follow-up and coordination abilities.
• Responsible, organized and capable of handling multiple import shipments simultaneously.
• Proficient in MS Office/Excel.
• Candidates available for immediate or early joining will be preferred.
