Key Responsibilities

1. Landed Costing & Import Financial Control

• Calculate and verify precise landed costs for imported materials (including freight, customs duties, insurance, handling, and terminal charges).
• Perform inter-company purchase/sale Goods Receipt Note (GRN) matching and reconciliations.
• Generate monthly import payable schedules, landed cost variance reports, and financial status updates for management.

2. Custom Duty Verification & ICEGATE Compliance

• Possess hands-on HSN code knowledge and independently verify duty rates using CBIC/ICEGATE tariff chapters and customs duty calculators.
• Cross-check duty assessments on Bills of Entry (BOE) and actively red-flag overvalued or mismatched custom duties to the Tax Compliance Head before payment processing.

3. Marine Insurance & Bank Logistics Coordination

• Manage marine insurance policies for incoming import shipments (specifically from China and key foreign trade hubs).
• Ensure active cover notes and complete transit insurance details are supplied to AD Banks and logistics partners prior to shipment dispatch from origin ports.

4. Ledger Reconciliation & Payment Matching

• Track supplier/creditor ledgers, verify GRNs and BOEs against agreed PI terms, and confirm balances directly with foreign suppliers.
• Manage milestone payment matching according to varied import contract terms (e.g., 100% Advance, 30/70, 20/40/40 splits).
• Coordinate closely with the Import Logistics Head and Accounts Manager to schedule timely payment releases to suppliers, CHAs, and shipping lines.

5. Banking (ORM) & Statutory Audit Support

• Coordinate Outward Remittance (ORM) documentation closing with Authorised Dealer (AD) banks upon shipment completion.
• Prepare comprehensive import financial schedules, PI/BOE reconciliation statements, and duty utilization ledgers for statutory and tax audits.

Reporting Structure & Key Interactions

• Reports To:
• Accounts & Finance Manager (for payment processing and ledger control)
• Tax Compliance Head (for custom duty and HSN validations)
• Logistics Head (for shipment timelines, status updates, and insurance processing)

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Proven hands-on minimum accounting experience of 3 years of handling the finance, duty calculation, and banking side of import operations within a manufacturing or trading environment.
• Software Proficiency:
• Advanced MS Excel
• Working knowledge of SAP Business One and Spectrum accounting software.
• Technical Skills:
• Familiarity with CBIC/ICEGATE portal tools, HSN classification, and duty calculators.
• In-depth understanding of import documentation (PI, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/Airway Bill, BOE, Insurance Cover Notes).

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
