IMPORT MANAGER

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the end-to-end import process
• Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and local transport providers.
• Ensure compliance with customs laws, import regulations, tariffs, duties, and other applicable government requirements.
• Coordinate with customs brokers to facilitate accurate and timely customs declarations and clearance.
• Monitor and manage import duties, taxes, freight charges, storage fees, demurrage, and other related costs.
• Identify opportunities to reduce logistics and import-related costs while maintaining service and compliance standards.
• Maintain accurate records of import transactions, shipment documents, customs declarations, and related reports.
• Track shipment status and proactively address delays, discrepancies, damages, or other logistics issues.
• Keep updated on changes in customs regulations, import procedures, tariffs, trade policies, and documentation requirements.
• Lead and support the resolution of customs, shipment, and documentation issues.
• Implement and improve import procedures, controls, and processes to increase efficiency and minimize risks.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate import staff and/or declarant, where applicable.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Customs Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or any related field.
• At least 5-10 years of experience in import, logistics, supply chain, or international trade operations.
• Strong knowledge of import procedures, customs regulations, and international shipping processes.
• Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and suppliers.
• Knowledge of import documentation and trade compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Willing to work in Pasay City
