Import Officer

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the import department and conduct regular meetings to review performance and operational concerns.
• Monitor the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of each unit and implement corrective actions to ensure monthly targets are achieved.
• Oversee import operations and documentation processes to ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and provide timely resolutions to minimize service disruptions.
• Negotiate commercial terms with overseas agents, shipping lines, co-loaders and other service providers to ensure competitive rates and quality service.
• Keep Management informed of market developments, industry trends, new shipping practices, and regulatory changes that may affect the company's operations.
• Ensure excellent customer service by resolving customer concerns promptly and maintaining high service standards.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in import forwarding operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of import documentation, customs procedures, shipping, and freight forwarding.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and freight forwarding software.
• Results-oriented with strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
