Import Officer

About the role

An Import Officer role involving the handling of import and export shipments and coordination with suppliers abroad, freight forwarding agents, customs clearance brokers, and internal departments.

Key responsibilities

• Handle import and export shipments and coordinate with suppliers abroad, freight forwarding agents, customs clearance brokers, and internal departments (sourcing, buying)
• Control procedures for both import and export customs formalities clearance and related government parties
• Manage shipping documents: invoices, packing lists, B/L or HAWB, and FTA Forms
• Check the accuracy of import-export documents
• Ensure that shipments are on schedule as needed
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in International Business, Administration or related fields
• At least 1-3 years' experience in an import and export job function
• Knowledge of FTA (Form D, E, AI, JTEPA) and H.S. code classification
• Good command of both written and spoken English
• Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Self-motivated, dynamic, hard-working, and able to work under pressure and flexible hours
• Strong interpersonal skills and cooperation with all levels, including management
