Import Officer – Textile Industry

Key Responsibilities

• Manage import documentation and coordinate with clearing agents for timely shipment clearance.
• Coordinate with DHL, UPS, FedEx, and other couriers; obtain quotations and prepare rate comparisons.
• Handle banking documentation, discrepancy follow-ups, and import-related formalities.
• Arrange shipment insurance through FIB and prepare monthly FIB reconciliations.
• Verify BLs, invoices, and shipping documents before submission to clearing agents.
• Coordinate duty payments, payment orders, and shipment deliveries.
• Record shipment advances, freight, insurance, and other charges; maintain daily/weekly reports and update shipment ETAs.
• Prepare shipment advance payment reports for DGM and process ASN entries in Oracle ERP.
• Required Skills
• Experience in import operations, preferably in the textile industry.
• Knowledge of import documentation, customs clearance, and banking procedures.
• Proficiency in Oracle ERP and MS Excel.
• Strong coordination, follow-up, and documentation skills.
