About the role
We are seeking an experienced Import Operations Coordinator to join the team in Auckland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of freight forwarding, takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Working alongside a supportive and experienced team, you'll be responsible for managing import shipments from start to finish while building strong relationships with customers, carriers and service providers

What you'll be doing

• Managing sea and air import shipments from arrival through to final delivery
• Coordinating customs, transport and shipping requirements
• Liaising with overseas agents, shipping lines, transport providers and customers
• Monitoring shipment milestones and proactively communicating updates
• Preparing and processing import documentation
• Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements
• Resolving operational issues and identifying practical solutions
• Maintaining accurate shipment and client records within internal systems

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in freight forwarding import operations

• Someone who is highly organised with excellent attention to detail

• Enjoys working with systems, processes and operational workflows

• Is proactive, dependable and solution-focused

• Values accuracy and takes pride in delivering quality service

Experience with CargoWise will be highly regarded
