Import Operations Officer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English for Business, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Management, Business Administration, Import-Export Management, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in in-house shipping & import or logistics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• New graduates are welcome.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor the progress of import documents, ensuring timely receipt and adherence to customs regulations.
• Scrutinize import documents for accuracy and completeness, and calculate applicable import taxes and duties based on customs tariffs and tax codes.
• Maintain regular communication with shipping and freight forwarding companies to manage inbound shipments, track cargo movements, and address logistical concerns.
• Collaborate with banks to initiate and manage Letters of Credit (L/Cs), ensuring proper documentation and financial arrangements for import transactions.
