Import Purchasing Officer/Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Manage overseas purchasing activities and issue purchase orders.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop qualified international suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery conditions with suppliers.
• Coordinate import documentation and ensure smooth customs clearance.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to maintain quality and service standards.
• Oversee the Fresh Produce category to ensure product availability and quality.
• Prepare and maintain accurate Product Specifications (Product Specs).
• Select and coordinate with freight forwarders for international shipments.
• Troubleshoot supply chain and import issues to minimize delivery disruptions.

Qualifications

• Male or Female, aged 25 years or above.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in international purchasing and importing food and beverage products.
• Strong sourcing, supplier management, and negotiation skills.
• Good knowledge of import procedures, shipping documentation, and customs regulations.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
