Import Specialist

Role Description The Import Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Heliopolis. This position is responsible for managing import operations, including coordinating shipments, preparing and reviewing import documentation, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and local customs requirements. The role involves daily communication with customers, overseas agents, carriers, and internal teams to track cargo, resolve issues, and provide accurate status updates. The Import Specialist will handle data entry into logistics systems, verify invoices and charges, and support timely customs clearance and delivery. The role also includes maintaining organized records, monitoring shipment timelines, and contributing to continuous improvement of import processes.

Qualifications

• Strong import-focused skills, including Import with the ability to manage end-to-end import operations.
• Knowledge of Imports, regulations, and documentation within logistics and freight forwarding.
• Customer Service skills, with experience handling client inquiries, providing shipment updates, and resolving operational issues.
• Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations, preferably in air and sea cargo.
• Familiarity with customs brokerage processes and documentation requirements for international shipments.
• Proficiency in using logistics or ERP systems and standard office software (e.g., Excel, Word, email tools).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
