Importation Associate (Project Hire)

JOB SUMMARY

The Importation Associate is responsible for the timely processing of contract orders for Brokerage and Logistics vendors within approved guidelines. He/she performs systematic analysis to identify and select the best value for services. He/She is responsible for monitoring on time processing of payment for foreign vendors.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Purchases assigned services by employing the process of sourcing, discussion of specs/work scope, negotiation, and evaluation/analysis of proposals prior to making a recommendation and awarding of order.
• Performs order administration and logistics work with suppliers.
• Assist Importation Lead/Staff in import processing work for materials ordered through indent from foreign sources.
• Process request for payment for billings and reimbursements of Brokerage vendors, Shipping line and other services related to delivery of imported materials on time processing of payment for foreign vendors.
• Coordinate with finance department on the status of payment for Foreign vendors.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of a Bachelor’s/College degree in Business Administration, Engineering or any related courses.
• With at least 1 year of work experience in the same field.
• Proficient with SAP System
• Identify tools, processes and metrics to optimize supplier value.
