IMPORTATION STAFF

About the role

PTC Commercial Corporation is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Importation Staff to join our team in Binondo, Manila City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our retail and consumer products operations. As Importation Staff, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the importation processes, ensuring smooth customs clearance, and facilitating the timely delivery of goods to support our retail operations. This role is integral to maintaining our supply chain efficiency and supporting the company's strategic objectives in the retail and consumer products sector.

Key responsibilities

• Process and prepare importation documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists
• Coordinate with customs brokers and shipping agents to ensure timely customs clearance and compliance with Philippine import regulations
• Monitor shipment status and track incoming goods throughout the importation process
• Verify accuracy of goods received against purchase orders and shipping documentation
• Liaise with suppliers and logistics partners to resolve shipment delays or discrepancies
• Maintain detailed records of all importation transactions and documentation for audit purposes
• Calculate and verify import duties, taxes and other related charges
• Ensure compliance with all relevant import regulations, tariff classifications and product safety standards
• Assist in inventory management and warehouse coordination upon receipt of imported goods
• Support the importation team with administrative tasks and ad hoc duties as required

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or college degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field is preferred
• Proven experience in importation, customs clearance or supply chain operations
• Strong knowledge of Philippine customs procedures and import regulations
• Excellent organisational and attention to detail skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data management
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners
• Basic understanding of shipping terms, incoterms and logistics procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and meet strict deadlines
• Integrity and reliability with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
• Willingness to learn and develop expertise in importation and retail operations
