IMS Core Planning Assistant Engineer

Job Overview:

Huawei is looking for an experienced IMS Core Planning Assistant Engineer based in Islamabad, with hands-on experience in IMS core network monitoring, network design, project support integration, commissioning, and new nodes acceptance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor network utilization and growth trends across IMS core network elements.
• Understand end-to-end HLD and LLD for IMS core products (ATS, CSCF, SBC & DRA/STP).
• Coordinate with telecom vendors (Huawei, Nokia, ZTE, Ericsson), contractors, and internal departments to evaluate vendor proposals and recommend optimal technical solutions.
• Take responsibility for network safety.
• Support project integration, commissioning, implementation, and new nodes acceptance.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn and grow.|

Skill Requirements:

• Familiarity with basic communication and data communication knowledge.
• Knowledge of IMS core call flows and scenarios as per 3GPP, GSMA, IEEE, and ETSI standards.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using internal/external tracing tools, Wireshark, etc.
• Knowledge of IMS core nodes (CSC, ATS, OCS, CCF, IM-MGW, SBC, PCRF) and protocols (SIP, Diameter, H.248).
• Strong customer requirement analysis, management, and technical problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication with technical customers (junior level) regarding technical solutions, project plans, and progress.
• Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field.
• Experience Required: 1–2 years in the core network field, especially in the IMS domain.
