Full-Time Caregiver

Location: Colleyville, TX
Job Type: Full-Time, approximately 40 hours per week
Pay: $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week. Weekend availability is required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dependable, patient and experienced caregiver to provide in-home care for an elderly individual with limited mobility following a stroke.

This is a hands-on caregiving position that includes personal care, mobility assistance and general support throughout the day. The caregiver will work as part of an existing care team.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing careful, respectful care and understands the importance of patience and proper handling when assisting an elderly individual with limited mobility and fragile skin.

Responsibilities

• Assist with standing, transfers and mobility, including two-person assists when needed
• Assist with toileting and bathroom needs
• Assist with bathing, showering and personal hygiene
• Assist with dressing and grooming
• Help with morning and evening routines
• Assist with a PureWick external catheter system as needed
• Assist with meals and normal daily activities
• Provide general supervision, interaction and support throughout the day
• Perform light housekeeping related to care
• Work cooperatively with other caregivers and family members
• Communicate concerns or changes in condition to the family
• Use appropriate care and caution during transfers, repositioning and personal care to protect fragile skin and prevent injury

Qualifications

Previous hands-on experience caring for elderly or mobility-limited individuals is strongly preferred. Experience with transfers and activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing and toileting, is important.

The right candidate will be:

• Patient and gentle when providing physical assistance
• Dependable and punctual
• Experienced with hands-on personal care
• Physically capable of assisting with transfers
• Attentive to proper positioning, skin integrity and injury prevention
• Comfortable working alongside other caregivers
• Able to follow established care routines and family instructions
• Available to work weekends as part of the regular schedule

CNA, home health aide, personal care assistant or similar experience is preferred but not required. Relevant caregiving experience, reliability and the ability to provide safe and respectful care are most important.

Schedule and Compensation

This is a full-time position of approximately 40 hours per week. Weekend availability is required.

Pay is $20–$25 per hour, based on experience.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
