In-Home Support Instructor

Support Counselor $18.50/hour.

About Our Company STAR, Inc., is a non-profit located in Norwalk, CT that provides support services to adult aged individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities and their families for over 70 years. A Day In The Life Of a Support Counselor As a support counselor you will be working with individuals who live in a home or an apartment assisting them with daily living skills. Our support counselors work with our individuals in teaching them all the things that can help them lead a more independent life

You would work in tandem with the individual and our in-home supports team to help those we serve learn the skills they need to help care for themselves. You will help the people we support gain more independence, confidence and pride in being able to do things for themselves.

Qualifications For The Job

• High School Diploma or its equivalent
• A valid driver's license and eligible for a Public Passenger Endorsement
• Compassion and ability to see the potential in everyone
• Positivity and a team-player attitude

Schedule Full Time 12:00pm-7:00pm with weekend availability
