In House Maintenance

About the role

Vikings Group of Companies is seeking an In-House Maintenance professional to join our team in NIU by Vikings, Podium Mall. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the physical infrastructure and operational efficiency of our facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring that all building systems, equipment, and structures are maintained to the highest standards, supporting the seamless operation of our business and the safety and comfort of our employees and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs to minimize downtime and disruption to business operations

• Perform repair work on equipment, machinery, and facilities using appropriate tools and techniques

• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs completed, and equipment servicing schedules

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building code regulations at all times

• Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment

• Assist in the planning and execution of facility upgrades and improvements

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related technical field

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems

• Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues independently

• Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labor and lift heavy items

• Relevant certifications or qualifications in building maintenance or trade skills are highly valued
