Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Inbound Dock Supervisor to oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will ensure that shipments are handled efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company policies and industry regulations. The Inbound Dock Supervisor will lead a team of dock workers, coordinate with various departments, and implement best practices to optimize workflow and productivity.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for moving all shipments daily to meet company service standards.

• Manage the loading and unloading of trailers to meet or exceed stop/bills per hour.

• Direct employees as needed.

-Serve as the primary point of contact for all dock-related issues. Communicate effectively with other departments, vendors, and transportation providers to ensure timely and accurate shipments.

-Set employee targets, monitor performance, provide coaching counseling and development

• Responsible for the management of efficient clean and safe LTL operations.

• Enforce compliance with all company policies, procedures, and government laws and regulations.

-Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and dock activities. Ensure proper documentation for all incoming and outgoing goods.

• Knowledgeable in geographical area.

Qualifications:

• Prior management, dispatch, and dock experience required, preferably in LTL trucking industry.

-Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in dock operations or warehouse management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

• Thorough understanding of the LTL industry.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Knowledge of distribution center procedures and best practices.
• Experience in implementing process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate tasks with team members and other departments.

-Understanding of safety regulations and industry best practices. Familiarity with inventory management and logistics processes.

-Knowledge of Microsoft Office, AS400 and Route Optimization software.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year
