POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting directly to the warehouse head, the warehouse assistant performs a number of duties aimed at ensuring that the operations of the warehouse are running smoothly on a daily basis. Work includes assisting the warehouse head in making sure that the flow of operations is handled effectively. Control the flow of stock, monitor the coming and going of goods, and handle stock records within a warehouse environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Receiving & Unloading Operations

• Safely unload incoming delivery trucks, containers, and supplier vehicles using appropriate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
• Verify incoming shipment physical counts against supplier manifests, bills of lading (BOL), and SBI purchase orders (PO).
• Perform immediate dock receipts and verify that package integrity is maintained during unloading.

Inspection & Discrepancy Reporting

• Conduct thorough visual inspections of external packaging and products for signs of damage, leakage, or tampering.
• Identify, document, and report shortages, overages, damaged items, or wrong deliveries to the Warehouse Supervisor and System Processor.
• Isolate damaged or suspicious goods into designated Quarantine Areas with appropriate status tagging.

Sorting, Staging & Dock-to-Stock Put-Away

• Sort inbound inventory by SKU, batch, or destination category to prepare for swift system receiving and put-away.
• Transfer verified stock to designated rack locations, bin storage, or bulk staging areas adhering to standard warehouse layout rules.
• Ensure proper labeling, pallet tagging, and barcode visibility for seamless downstream system scanning and inventory processing.

Dock Safety & Workplace Housekeeping

• Maintain clean, clear, and hazard-free receiving docks, staging zones, and aisles.
• Strictly follow company occupational safety guidelines, including safe manual lifting techniques and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)compliance.
• Inspect and perform routine basic maintenance checks on assigned material handling tools and report equipment issues promptly.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Education & Work Experience
• High School Diploma / Senior High School Graduate or Vocational Certificate equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in warehouse receiving, inbound operations, or logistics.
• Skills & Technical Proficiency
• Experience operating manual and electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, and basic warehouse material handling tools.
• Familiarity with barcode scanners, handheld terminals (RF scanners), and basic Warehouse Management System (WMS) receiving
• workflows.
• Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations for quantity verification and stock counting.

Physical & Working Requirements

• Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 25-50 lbs) repeatedly throughout a standard work shift.
• Physical stamina to stand, stoop, bend, and walk for extended periods in a warehouse dock environment.

• Attention to Detail: Meticulous in checking product SKUs, quantities, expiration dates, and physical condition against documentation.

Teamwork & Collaboration: Works closely with fellow warehouse handlers, system processors, and delivery drivers to maintain smooth dock flow.

• Safety Awareness: Prioritizes safe work practices, proper ergonomics, and protective equipment at all times.

Adaptability & Speed:

• Capable of working efficiently under peak receiving schedules and urgent supplier delivery drop-offs.

Pay: Php695.00 per day
