Job Overview

OnTheWay Rides is seeking dependable, professional Independent Contractor Drivers to provide safe and reliable passenger transportation in Springfield, Ohio and surrounding areas.

This is a flexible driving opportunity for individuals who want to earn additional income using their own vehicle while maintaining control over their availability. Drivers use the OnTheWay Rides Driver App to view available ride opportunities, claim eligible rides, manage upcoming rides, and complete passenger trips.

Drivers may work part-time or take advantage of additional ride opportunities based on their availability.

Driver Responsibilities

• Provide safe, dependable, and professional passenger transportation.
• Pick up and drop off riders at their scheduled locations.
• Use the OnTheWay Rides Driver App to view, claim, manage, and complete ride opportunities.
• Arrive on time for claimed and scheduled rides.
• Follow all required ride statuses and procedures within the Driver App.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with riders.
• Follow applicable traffic laws and safe-driving practices.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and roadworthy vehicle.
• Maintain all required driver's license, vehicle, insurance, and driver documentation.
• Provide a professional rider experience from pickup through final destination.

Driver Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Have valid personal automobile insurance.
• Have access to a reliable personal vehicle.
• Have a smartphone with GPS and mobile data access.
• Meet OnTheWay Rides vehicle and driver eligibility requirements.
• Complete any required application, screening, or background-check process.
• Maintain any insurance coverage required to provide rideshare/passenger transportation services.
• Have strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Be dependable and capable of arriving on time for rides they choose to accept.

Rideshare Insurance Requirement

Drivers must maintain the appropriate rideshare/TNC insurance coverage or endorsement required for providing passenger transportation through OnTheWay Rides.

Drivers are responsible for maintaining required coverage and documentation before accepting passenger rides.
