Job Overview

Washington Express is seeking motivated and reliable Independent Contractor Drivers to join our team. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering legal documents and goods throughout the greater Washington DC regional area, while providing excellent customer service and adhering to all traffic and transportation regulations. This position offers flexibility and independence, allowing you to operate your own vehicle while presenting a professional image at all times. Your role is vital in maintaining smooth logistics operations and providing exceptional service to clients.

Requirements

• Unrestricted Real-ID Driver's License
• Good driving record (MVR) , no DWI's or DUI's allowed
• Be available for work Monday-Friday approx. 8am - 4pm
• Have your own reliable car, minivan, or SUV (we do NOT need Cargo Vans or Pickup trucks at this time.
• Be eligible to work in USA
• Have an unrestricted paper Social Security card
• Be able to pass a Background Check

Responsibilities

• Safely operate your personal vehicle for deliveries throughout the greater DC area
• Navigate using GPS to ensure on-time pickup and delivery and efficient routing, adjusting routing as needed based on traffic conditions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, dispatchers, and team members when needed to confirm pickup instructions and/or delivery details.
• Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance, safety standards are met and your vehicle is reliable.
• Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal transportation laws, including traffic regulations.
• Provide great customer service by being punctual, professional, courteous, and responsive to client needs during each interaction.

Experience

• Experience as a delivery driver preferred
• Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and local roads
• Strong language and communication skills for effective client interaction and team coordination.
• Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and basic repairs when necessary for safe and reliable vehicle operation.

Pay: $150.00 - $300.00 per day
