Duties

• Safely operate your personal or commercial vehicle, including box trucks, vans, or other delivery vehicles, to complete scheduled deliveries.
• Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Follow designated routes accurately, utilizing mobile devices for navigation and delivery updates.
• Ensure compliance with all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws during route driving.
• Provide excellent customer service by delivering packages professionally and courteously, addressing recipient inquiries when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for each shipment processed.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.

Requirements

• Proven experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or commercial truck driving preferred.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely in accordance with workplace weight handling standards.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission is a plus.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, material handling equipment operation (such as pallet jacks), and safe lifting practices.
• Knowledge of traffic regulations, DOT requirements, and route planning best practices.
• Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude during interactions with clients.
• Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation, delivery confirmation, and communication purposes.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively.
