Position: Cook (Indian Cuisine) - ANZSCO
Number of positions: 1
Location: Hamilton
Rate per hour: $25.00 per hour
Minimum hours per week: 30.00 hrs / week.

Qualifications or Experience : NZQF Level 2 or 3 qualification or 2 year of experience in Indian cuisine

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspects and selects ingredients for cooking
• Measures, cleans, chops, blends, seasons, heats and cools food
• Monitors food cooking processes to ensure proper cooking and presentation
• Coordinates, supervises and collaborates with kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking
• Cleans and maintains kitchen equipment and utensils
• Monitors and maintains inventory of food supplies and equipment
• Assists in the development of new recipes and menu items
• Prepare and cook a variety of North and South Indian dishes
• Ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Follow all safety and hygiene standards

Requirements:
✅ Knowledge of traditional South & North Indian cooking techniques and ingredients
✅ Ability to work as part of a team and take direction
✅ Strong attention to detail and passion for food
✅ Ability to work flexible hours
