We are looking for a reliable Indian cook/personal chef who lives in or near the Richmond, VA area and can come to our home to prepare fresh, authentic Indian meals for our family.

This is a personal home-cooking position, not a restaurant job. We are looking for someone who enjoys cooking simple, flavorful, home-style Indian food and can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh Indian meals for our family
• Cook vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes as requested
• Prepare everyday Indian food such as dal, sabzi, roti, rice, curries, and other traditional dishes
• Maintain good taste, consistency, and food quality
• Help plan meals based on the family's preferences
• Keep the kitchen and cooking area clean and organized
• Properly store ingredients and cooked food
• Minimize food waste
• Follow basic food safety and hygiene practices

Requirements

• Good knowledge of Indian home-style cooking
• Comfortable preparing both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian dishes
• Knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques
• Able to work independently
• Reliable and punctual
• Clean and organized
• Must be able to travel to our home in Richmond, VA
• Preference will be given to candidates who live nearby

Compensation

$350–$400 per month, depending on cooking ability, experience, and agreed schedule.
