Indigo Digital Press Operator

About the role

Operate a press to print quality products accurately and efficiently using all supplied information.

Key responsibilities

• Check work ticket thoroughly for all necessary information
• Prepare ink, paper and press to the workticket instructions
• Constantly monitor the press to ensure a quality job is being produced at all times
• Ensure all jobs produced are checked for accuracy and quality by the Supervisor, Leading Hand or another Press Operator and signed off on the work ticket
• Ensure times for each job are allocated on the workticket and computer
• Fulfil regular maintenance as per the maintenance schedule
• Keep Production Supervisor or Leading Hand informed of any necessary press requirements
• Assist the Production Supervisor or Leading Hand as per direction
• Advise the Production Supervisor or Leading Hand when consumable stocks are low
• Complete all tasks on the production list each day

About you

• Minimum 4 year apprenticeship
• 1 years trade experience preferred
• Relevant experience in the printing industry
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in a commercial Print department
