Indirect Procurement Manager

I am currently partnering with a globally renowned luxury brand to identify a high-calibre Indirect Procurement Manager for their Hong Kong and Macau operations. This is a newly created role

• a greenfield opportunity for a commercial and governance-focused procurement professional to shape the indirect procurement function from the ground up.

The Opportunity

This role sits at the heart of the brand's Hong Kong and Macau operations. You will own category sourcing outcomes, lead commercial negotiations, strengthen supplier ecosystems, and champion process excellence across the end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P) journey. You will act as a trusted advisor to business units, balancing commercial rigour with brand protection and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing & Value Delivery: Own indirect spend categories (OPEX and CAPEX), driving RFX processes, market benchmarking, and data-driven negotiations to deliver measurable value while safeguarding brand standards.
• Business Partnership & Influence: Act as a trusted Subject Matter Expert (SME) across Business Units, guiding internal stakeholders on procurement processes and elevating the overall procurement experience.
• Supplier Ecosystem & Risk Governance: Build and manage high-impact local supplier partnerships - leading segmentation, performance evaluations, contractual due diligence, and risk monitoring.
• S2P Process Excellence & System Adoption: Serve as the market "Super User" for e-procurement systems (Coupa/SAP/Ariba), facilitating training, coaching, and change management while enforcing policy compliance.
• Sustainable & Responsible Procurement: Integrate sustainability principles into sourcing strategies, contribute to CSR supplier audit initiatives, and support APAC regional ESG goals.

Who We Are Looking For

• someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building processes from scratch, and can influence senior stakeholders with confidence.

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum 7+ years of procurement or managerial experience within MNCs
• Solid track record in strategic sourcing, contract drafting, and commercial negotiation
• In-depth understanding of end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes
• Hands-on experience with e-Procurement tools (Coupa, SAP, or Ariba) - experience as a system "Super User" is a strong advantage
• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related disciplines
• Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and relationship-building skills
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese

Preferred (but not essential):

• Luxury retail or FMCG background
• CIPS qualification
• Experience with S2C/Coupa implementation
• Intermediate Excel proficiency and strong analytical rigour
