INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION/ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled On-Site Industrial Automation Technician to join our technical operations team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced packaging equipment and industrial automation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Quickly diagnose, isolate, and resolve electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic faults on packaging and automation machinery to minimize downtime
• Lead and execute the on-site mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic setup, integration, and startup of new packaging equipment and automated machinery, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards
• Perform routine inspections, calibrations, and servicing of equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
• Set up new packaging lines and automated systems on-site, ensuring seamless integration with existing operations
• Provide hands-on assistance and guidance to plant operators on proper machine handling, safety protocols, and basic upkeep
• Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance logs, and inventory records of spare parts used

About you

• Proven hands-on experience as a field service, maintenance, or automation technician, specifically working with packaging equipment and industrial machinery
• Exceptional fault-finding and analytical troubleshooting abilities
• Working knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron, etc.) for code reading, monitoring, and minor edits is a strong advantage
• Technical/Vocational diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong problem-solving mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
