Parker Industrial Tool is a locally owned industrial sharpening and tooling company serving manufacturers throughout Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama. We sharpen and service industrial knives, saw blades, granulator blades, paper knives, slitters, planer knives, and other cutting tools.

We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join our blade-sharpening operation. This is a hands-on position requiring attention to detail, consistency, and a willingness to learn a specialized trade.

Previous grinding or machining experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person who has a strong mechanical aptitude and takes pride in producing accurate work.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate industrial blade-grinding machines
• Sharpen blades to the required angles and dimensions
• Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and angle gauges
• Inspect blades for wear, damage, and quality
• Record job details and production time
• Clean, label, and package completed orders
• Keep machines and the work area clean and organized
• Follow all safety and quality procedures

Qualifications

• Grinding, machining, or manufacturing experience is preferred
• Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
• Able to accurately use measuring tools or willing to learn
• Dependable and able to work independently
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working around machinery and sharp objects

We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, follows instructions, and wants to learn a specialized trade. Pay increases are available as additional machines and sharpening processes are mastered.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
