Industrial Designer

ArmourCore is currently in search of a talented designer to work with our team on a full-time basis at our Eagle Farm office.

ArmourCore is a small Australian business that makes it easy for individuals and businesses to improve their productivity by organising and protecting their gear. We achieve this through effective design, and the efficient manufacture and delivery of a range of products and services.

The role involves relatively simple CAD, CAM and manual design tasks, basic CNC and laser machine operation, customer communication, as well as some packaging, shipping, and general production tasks as needed to support the team. The role also involves assisting our Junior Designers.

You will start as an Assistant Designer while receiving training on our processes, with the goal of promotion to Designer, working independently to deliver designs and finished products. You will also have the opportunity to develop into larger roles as the business grows.

An ideal applicant would have completed their industrial design or engineering degree, have at least two years’ full-time equivalent experience with AutoCAD Fusion 360, and be well versed with graphic design and CAD software. A good general knowedge of tools would also be beneficial. Highly developed listening, written, and oral communication skills are essential for you to feel a sense of belonging in the team. As we’re a small team in a fast-growing company, self-motivation, adaptability, and initiative are essential for you to keep up.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
