Industrial Electrician

Are you a qualified electrician looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment?

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our Engineering team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical systems across our production facility while ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance.

About the Role

• Electrical breakdown response and fault finding
• Preventive and planned maintenance
• PLC, HMI, VSD, instrumentation and control system support
• Plant installations, upgrades and commissioning
• Maintaining electrical compliance and maintenance records
• Supporting continuous improvement, reliability and safety initiatives
• Coordinating contractors and working closely with production and maintenance teams

About You

Essential:

• NZ Registered Electrician with a current EWRB Practising Licence
• Strong industrial maintenance and fault-finding experience
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
• Sound knowledge of electrical safety, isolations and safe work practices
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently

Desirable:

• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VSDs and instrumentation
• Knowledge of industrial networks and machinery safety systems
• Experience with SAP or similar maintenance systems
