Job Overview

We are looking for 3 motivated and responsible Industrial Engineers to join our Industrial Engineering / Operations team.

The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for monitoring production-floor operations, manpower utilization, and material availability. The role will work closely with Production, Planning, Stores, Procurement, HR, Quality, Maintenance and other relevant departments to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.

The position will also act as a coordination link between the Production floor and Management by identifying operational issues, following up on pending requirements and providing timely updates to the Management.

Key Responsibilities

Floor Management & Operations Monitoring:

• Monitor day-to-day activities and operations on the production floor.
• Ensure planned operations are being carried out according to the production plan.
• Monitor ongoing processes and identify bottlenecks, operational gaps and abnormalities.
• Coordinate with floor teams to ensure smooth execution of operations.
• Identify issues affecting productivity, workflow, and production continuity.
• Provide regular updates regarding floor activities and operational status.
• Follow up on operational issues until appropriate corrective action is taken.

Manpower Management:

• Monitor manpower deployment and utilization across the production floor.
• Assess manpower requirements against current and planned production activities.
• Identify manpower shortages, excess manpower, absenteeism and deployment gaps.
• Identify areas where additional manpower is required or manpower can be utilized more effectively.
• Coordinate with HR and relevant departments regarding manpower availability and requirements.
• Highlight manpower constraints that may affect production efficiency.
• Provide timely manpower status and requirement updates to management.

Material Management & Coordination:

• Monitor availability of materials required for ongoing production activities.
• Identify material shortages, delays, excesses and discrepancies.
• Follow up with Stores, Production, Planning, Procurement and other concerned departments.
• Track pending material requirements and ensure timely follow-up until resolution.
• Identify upcoming material requirements based on production activities.
• Maintain visibility of material flow and highlight potential shortages that may impact production.
• Provide regular material status and requirement updates to management.

Reporting & Coordination:

• Maintain regular coordination with Production, Planning, Stores/Warehouse, Procurement, HR, Quality, Maintenance, and other relevant departments.
• Prepare and communicate updates regarding floor operations, manpower, materials, and pending issues.
• Escalate critical operational issues, manpower shortages, material constraints, and production bottlenecks to the Assistant Director.
• Follow up on assigned actions and ensure timely closure of operational issues.

Key Deliverables

The successful candidate will be expected to provide management with timely and accurate visibility regarding:

• Current production-floor operations and status.
• Manpower availability, utilization, shortages and requirements.
• Material availability, shortages and pending requirements.
• Operational constraints and production bottlenecks.
• Department-wise coordination and follow-up status.
• Issues requiring management intervention.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant experience in Industrial Engineering, Production, Operations, or Manufacturing will be preferred.
• Strong understanding of production-floor operations and coordination.
• Good analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to monitor multiple operational requirements simultaneously.
• Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel / MS Office.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment.
