INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related field.
• Licensed Industrial Engineer (LIE) - not preferred
• With 2–3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, internal audit, process improvement, or operations.
• Manufacturing industry experience is an advantage but not required.
• Knowledge of production processes, work measurement, inventory management, and process control.
• Familiarity with internal audit procedures, operational controls, and documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis; knowledge of ERP/MRP systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to identify discrepancies and process inefficiencies.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• Willing to conduct plant/factory floor inspections and operational audits.
• Able to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct operational and process audits of manufacturing activities, including production, materials handling, inventory, warehousing, and other operational areas.
• Review production processes to ensure compliance with established procedures, standards, and internal controls.
• Analyze production records, work orders, inventory reports, material usage, downtime, yield, and productivity data to identify discrepancies or unusual variances.
• Verify the accuracy of production output, material consumption, wastage, rejects, and inventory movements.
• Conduct physical verification and reconciliation of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), finished goods, and other production-related items.
• Evaluate manpower utilization, machine capacity, production efficiency, and process flow.
• Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, control weaknesses, and potential areas of loss or waste.
• Investigate discrepancies and determine possible root causes, particularly those involving production losses, inventory variances, excessive material consumption, and operational inefficiencies.
• Prepare audit findings, observations, reports, and recommendations for management review.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve operational efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
• Monitor the implementation of agreed corrective actions and follow up on unresolved audit findings.
• Develop or review process flowcharts, work standards, productivity measures, and control procedures when necessary.
• Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Finance, and other departments during audit activities.
• Maintain proper documentation and confidentiality of all audits working papers and findings.
• Assist in special audits, investigations, cost-reduction studies, process improvement projects, and management-requested reviews.
• Perform other related duties that may be assigned by management.
