Industrial Engineer

Purpose Statement: Leverage engineering expertise and analytical skills to optimize manufacturing processes at Plexus, fostering continuous improvement and cost reduction. Key Job Accountabilities:

• Process Optimization & Layout Design: Lead the design and optimization of Plant Layouts to ensure efficient material flow, maximize space utilization, and eliminate manufacturing bottlenecks.
• Productivity & Efficiency Improvement: Drive Productivity enhancement initiatives across production lines through time studies, waste elimination (Lean manufacturing), and the implementation of Line Balancing techniques to optimize cycle times.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Regarded as a "go-to" technical specialist, leader, and mentor within the Manufacturing discipline; provide cross-discipline guidance for product/process development and complex troubleshooting within the site or region.
• Project Lead: Serve as a technical and/or project team lead providing technical guidance, controlling scope, schedule, and budget to ensure overall technical success on small to mid-size Plexus Manufacturing Processes.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement activities associated with the engineering discipline, utilizing project-level tools, statistical analysis, and Lean methodologies.
• Customer Service Leadership: Provide leadership in project technical discussions, business continuity planning, and new proposal creation with customers.

Education / Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of direct experience in manufacturing engineering, with a proven track record in Plant Layout design, Line Balancing, and Productivity improvement projects.

Other Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in Plant Layout, Line Balancing, and Capacity Planning tools.
• Strong Analytical and statistical analysis skills; proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) software.
• Intermediate Computer, Decision-making, and Problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills (English and Thai).
• Strong cross-discipline development knowledge and a solid understanding of Structured Design.
• Ability to develop good working relationships with team members and customers.
• Experience with lab tools, testing, and measurement equipment is preferred.
