2、Minimum 5-7 years of practical industrial engineering experience within a discrete or process manufacturing environment; exposure to glass, ceramics, optics, automotive component 3、Lean Expertise: Deep understanding of Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, TPM, SMED, Visual Management, Kanban, Standardized Work, and Pull Systems.

Major Duties

• Production Layout & Material Flow Optimization Design, simulate, and optimize plant layouts, production line configurations, and workstation arrangements to maximize space utilization, minimize material handling distance, and ensure smooth logistics flow. Develop and maintain spaghetti diagrams, block layouts, and flow charts to visualize current-state material/information flow and identify non-value-added activities. Lead or support green field/brown field layout projects, line relocations, and capacity expansion initiatives from concept design through to physical implementation and post-launch validation.
• Standard Time Establishment & Capacity Management Establish, validate, and sustain accurate Standard Operating Times (SOT) and labor standards using engineered time-study methods or predetermined time systems. Build and maintain capacity models and manpower forecasts to support Master Production Scheduling (MPS), capital expenditure planning, and labor budgeting. Monitor key efficiency metrics including operator utilization, line balance rate, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE); initiate corrective actions and rebalancing activities where performance gaps exist.
• Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement (CI) Lead Value Stream Mapping (VSM) activities to map end-to-end material and information flow; develop future-state roadmaps with clear timelines, owners, and savings targets. Drive waste elimination programs targeting defects, overproduction, waiting, transportation, inventory, motion, and excess processing. Implement and audit 5S standards, visual management systems, and standardized work instructions to ensure operational discipline and sustain improvements.
• Manufacturing Data Analysis & Cost Improvement Collect, cleanse, and analyze manufacturing performance data (cycle time, downtime, headcount, throughput) to identify systemic inefficiencies and cost-reduction opportunities. Develop and maintain IE KPI dashboards (efficiency, labor cost per unit, productivity indices) to enable real-time, data-driven decision-making for plant leadership. Lead or contribute to annual cost-down and productivity improvement targets (e.g., labor efficiency +X%, unit cost reduction).
• New Product Introduction (NPI) & Industrialization Support Define preliminary routings, line concepts, labor headcount, packaging schemes, and workflow sequences for new products prior to pilot production. Support pilot-run and ramp-up phases by resolving capacity constraints, refining work methods, training operators on standard work, and stabilizing cycle times to meet quoted capacity and cost targets.
• Systems, Documentation & Standardization Manage the IE impact of Engineering Change Orders (ECO) by evaluating method changes, updating labor standards, and communicating revisions to relevant stakeholders.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Coaching Serve as the manufacturing operations representative in cross-functional initiatives involving Quality, Production, Maintenance, Planning, Supply Chain, and EHS.
