What they need

Do you love finding a better way to do things? As an Industrial Engineer at Worldpac in Forest Park, GA, you will dig into how our distribution and branch operations run today, and use LEAN methods, statistical analysis, and AS400 systems data to make them run better. You will work hands-on with frontline associates, supervisors, and senior leaders across the network, leading improvement projects from the first data pull all the way through implementation. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Operations, ideal for a self-motivated, data-driven problem solver who wants to see the direct impact of their work on the floor.

What You Will Do

  • Lead LEAN and continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse, distribution, and operational functions, using value stream mapping, time studies, and workflow analysis
  • Build performance dashboards and statistical reports that help leadership make faster, better decisions
  • Use AS400 systems to pull and interpret operational data that supports labor modeling, reporting, and process analysis
  • Design and maintain engineered labor standards to support staffing plans, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Manage multiple improvement projects at once, from charter through implementation, communicating progress to stakeholders and leadership
  • Coach teams on LEAN tools like 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma, and build lasting relationships with associates at every level of the organization

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–7 years of industrial engineering experience in a distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with AS400/IBM i systems for data extraction, reporting, and operational analysis
  • Demonstrated experience applying LEAN tools and methodologies to reduce waste and improve throughput
  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining engineered labor standards
  • Strong statistical analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel, Access, Power BI, Minitab, or similar tools
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects; PMP or CAPM certification a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to diverse audiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Experience in wholesale distribution or the automotive parts industry
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms
  • Experience with labor management systems (LMS)

Posted Salary Range USD $95,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.
