Industrial Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design green field plant layouts and utility layouts following compliance regulations.
• Carry out ergonomic analysis and provide improvised solutions for assembly activities.
• Design and optimize internal material flow, storage, and line-side part presentation.
• Implement standardized work concepts and optimize material packaging.
• Reduce lead times and waste through Value Stream Mapping and Lean Six Sigma tools.
• Perform line balancing for capacity enhancements and new product introductions.
• Conduct Time & Motion and MOST studies to optimize assembly line processes.

Must Have Competencies

• Expert knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering principles.
• Proficiency in conducting Time & Motion and MOST studies for assembly lines.
• Expertise in Green Field Plant Design and Layout Planning for single-piece flow.
• Skil in executing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Value Stream Mapping.

Good to Have Competencies

• Certification in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Competence in Ergonomics Analysis and improvised solution design.
• Ability to design and optimize internal material flow and part presentation.
• Experience in establishing shop floor manpower planning policies and procedures.

Experience and Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech/MBA in industrial engineering or a related field.
• 4 to 7 years of experience in Industrial Engineering within the automotive industry.
