What they need
About the role
Lead and support Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing deployment across manufacturing and support functions. Apply Industrial Engineering principles and Lean methodologies to identify waste, improve process flow, increase productivity, optimize labor and capacity, reduce cost, standardize work, and improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) performance. Plan and execute improvement projects through data-driven problem solving, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to build a sustainable continuous improvement culture.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and support Lean Manufacturing deployment across production and support areas using 5S, Visual Management, Standardized Work, Kaizen, Gemba, Value Stream Mapping, waste elimination, and daily management systems.
- Conduct time studies, work measurement, line balancing, manpower and capacity analysis, takt-time and cycle-time analysis, and productivity studies to identify opportunities for labor and process optimization.
- Map current-state processes and value streams, identify bottlenecks, non-value-added activities, excessive WIP, transportation, waiting, motion, defects, and other forms of waste, and develop practical future-state improvement plans.
- Lead Continuous Improvement projects focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity, Capacity, and Lead Time using PDCA, DMAIC, A3, 8-Step Problem Solving, Kaizen, and other structured methodologies.
- Develop and implement Standardized Work, standard work combination tables, operator balance charts, process layouts, material-flow improvements, point-of-use systems, visual controls, and other Lean tools.
- Analyze OEE, productivity, yield, scrap/rework, downtime, cycle time, changeover time, labor utilization, WIP, output, and schedule attainment; identify performance gaps and recommend improvement actions.
- Lead or support SMED/changeover reduction, equipment and process utilization improvement, bottleneck elimination, cellular manufacturing, one-piece/continuous flow, pull systems, Kanban, FIFO, and other Lean flow initiatives.
- Develop project charters, business cases, cost-benefit analyses, implementation plans, schedules, risk assessments, action trackers, and project performance reports; ensure measurable and sustainable benefits.
- Facilitate Kaizen events, workshops, Gemba activities, problem-solving sessions, and Lean training for operators, team leaders, supervisors, engineers, and other employees.
- Support facility layout, workstation design, ergonomic improvement, production capacity planning, equipment/process expansion, new product/process introduction, and manufacturing transfer projects using Industrial Engineering principles.

- Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial Engineering
- At least 5–10 years of relevant experience in Industrial Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, or project engineering in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of time study, work measurement, line balancing, capacity planning, manpower optimization, facility/layout planning, ergonomics, productivity analysis, and process improvement
- Strong working knowledge of 5S, Visual Management, Standardized Work, Kaizen, Gemba, Value Stream Mapping, waste elimination, flow, pull/Kanban, FIFO, SMED, and daily management
- Knowledge of PDCA, DMAIC, A3, 8-Step Problem Solving, root-cause analysis, statistical/data analysis, KPI management, and benefit verification
- Ability to develop project charters, schedules, business cases, cost-benefit analyses, risk assessments, action plans, and implementation tracking
- Proficient in Excel and data analysis. Experience with Power BI, Minitab, AutoCAD/layout software, or similar tools is an advantage
- Able to use English as a working language.
- Continuous improvement mindset, Lean leadership, analytical and systems thinking, project management, facilitation, structured problem solving, data analysis, change management, cross-functional communication, coaching capability, execution discipline, and results orientation
