What they need

Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a leading supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to providing complete and sustainable transport solutions. Together with TRATON and our sister brands MAN, Volkswagen Truck & Bus, and International, we are working to shape the future of mobility with innovative and environmentally conscious solutions. Our values – customer first, respect, team spirit, responsibility, and elimination of waste – are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we are at the forefront of creating a sustainable future.

Role Summary As an Industrial Engineer, you will play a key role in a smaller production unit where your work has a direct impact on our business. With short decision-making paths, your ideas can quickly become tangible improvements.

You will be an important part of our production engineering development, with the opportunity to take ideas and analyses all the way through to implemented solutions that make a measurable difference. The role offers a high degree of ownership and the opportunity to influence our technology, ways of working and business results. You will work closely with production, maintenance and external suppliers, playing a central role in ensuring robust, efficient and future-proof technical solutions.

We welcome candidates with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience—whether you are at the beginning of your career or bring several years of industry experience.

Job Responsibilities As a Industrial Engineer, you will be an important part of the bigger picture working closely with our assembly operations. You will provide technical support and help resolve day-to-day production-related questions and challenges as well as responsibility for the procurement and replacement of equipment.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Solving problems cross-functionally together with relevant stakeholders, including production, quality, logistics, maintenance, engineering and IT
  • Procuring and installing new equipment, as well as modifying existing equipment
  • Challenging and adapting production processes to support the introduction of new or modified products
  • Leading and delivering improvement projects related to our production processes
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement, supporting the justification of new investments and contributing to continuous development
  • Providing technical support to production in daily operations

Who You Are We believe you are someone who enjoys working in a structured production environment, gains energy from cross-functional collaboration and is motivated by achieving results.

You likely have :

  • A university degree in engineering or equivalent experience, preferably within industrial, mechanical or electrical engineering
  • A strong technical interest; experience in production engineering is an advantage
  • Experience leading or contributing to projects
  • An interest in IT-related solutions
  • Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing

To succeed in this role, you:

  • Are solution-oriented and enjoy taking on technical challenges
  • Show drive, initiative and a genuine desire to make a difference
  • Thrive in a cross-functional environment and build strong working relationships
  • Take ownership and deliver high-quality results
  • Work in a structured and analytical way, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Communicate clearly and contribute to a positive and collaborative culture

Scania Offers We offer a dynamic and engaging workplace where collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement are part of everyday life. You will be part of a strong team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and close cooperation across functions.

With a structured development plan and a wide range of training opportunities, Scania supports your professional growth both locally and internationally.

Benefits include access to our health center in Gröndal or a wellness allowance, result bonus, flexible working hours, and company car leasing. Scania also arranges events for employees and their families, and for those living in Stockholm, convenient commuting is supported through direct Scania Job express buses to Södertälje.

Application Your application should include a CV and any relevant certificates. We welcome all applicants and strive for diversity in our recruitment processes.

Apply as soon as possible, no later than 2026-10-23. Screening will take place on an ongoing basis during the application period. Logical and personality tests may be used as part of the selection process, and a background check may be required for this role.

We look forward to your application!
