Industrial Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 KMM is looking for a motivated Industrial Engineering Intern to join our aerospace electronics manufacturing team for Summer 2027 . This internship offers hands‑on experience improving production workflows, analyzing labor standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

What You'll Work On

• Workflow Mapping - Observe production processes, document material flow, and identify bottlenecks.
• Time & Takt Studies - Collect cycle‑time data and support labor estimate refinement.
• Data Analysis - Analyze throughput, labor standards, and production metrics.
• Routing Review - Validate routing accuracy and workflow alignment with actual production.
• Lean Activities - Participate in 5S, waste‑reduction efforts, and small improvement projects.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration - Work with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams.

What You Bring

• Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Familiarity with Excel, process‑mapping tools, or basic CAD
• Interest in Lean, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement
• Clear communication and teamwork skills
